Vampire vs. Werewolf Blog Hop Jan. 14-20
Vampires and Werewolves. They are two of the most well known and popular paranormal creatures today. Bones from Night Huntress (Chapter 32 anyone? *wink*) or Alcide Herveaux from the Sookie Stackhouse series, etc. This hop is all about the vampires and werewolves! Are you a vampire lover or werewolf lover?
If you had to choose, would you cuddle up with a sexy, dangerous vampire throughout the long nights or would you rather a hot, testosterone filled dominate werewolf that let out the most interesting of growls at *ahem* fun moments?
It’s a difficult decision to make. Both have rather unique abilities and can be quite competent. (Smile). In the Sexy & Damned series, I have a stunning vampire warrior and troublesome werewolves. The second book involves more werewolves. Since this blog hop references both creatures, I’m going to giveaway one ebook from the Sexy & Damned series. Winner can select which one.

While I like the sexy Vampires, I like shifters of all kinds better. I am definitely TEAM WEREWOLF! There is just something about a sexy alpha werewolf that floats my boat! My favorite “Sexy Werewolf” is Smitty from Shelly Laurenston’s “The Beast In Him”. He is a real laid back kind of alpha male with a sexy southern charm and a body built by “good shifter genes” and the U. S. Navy Seals.
Some of my favorite Werewolf and Vampire books are the “Pack/Pride” series by Shelly Laurenston, the “Dragon Kin” series by G. A. Aiken, the “Freakn’” series by Eve Langlais, the” Anita Blake” series by Laurel K. Hamilton, the “Breeds” series by Lora Leigh, the “Granite Lake Wolves” by Vivian Arend, the “Dragon Knights” and “Tales of the Were” series by Bianca D’Arc and the “New Species” series by Laurann Dohner. All of these are must read and read again for me. If you haven’t tried them, you are missing out.
For Werewolf books I recommend Bianca D’Arc’s Tales of the Were series, and Shelly Laurenston’s Pack series. Great books. I follow you via FB as Renee Bennett

Thank you for the informative stop on your blog.
I read both types of books, if it is a good story, then it’s a good story and I’m happy. However, I am drawn to that bad boy, with the rugged good looks. So, weres typically fall into that category.
However, if you’re looking for those rugged vamps, check out The Shadow Wranglers series by Sarah McCarty. The vamps are also friends with some equally rugged weres.

I strongly prefer vampires. What it boils down to for me is that werewolves tend to possess all the traits I would hate in a partner–aggression, possessiveness, need for conformity–traits some people see as protective and masculine, but are a huge turn-off for me. Loyalty is good; some guy thinking he “owns” me is not.

I love both creatures but tend to read more vamp books. Their uber Alpha attitude wins me over as does their strength and extra psychic abilities. Those abilities win over the mind and body and can lead to some sexy times together.
