Book Boyfriend Blog Hop April 15-21

book-boyfriend

Welcome to Evernight’s Book Boyfriend Blog Hop.

I have a contemporary romance series with Evernight called Sisters of Lonewood. There are 7 sisters and each one shares a romantic story. For this blog hop, I chose Stephen from Nikki’s Story as my book boyfriend. Why him? To begin with, he’s in the first book in the series. While he doesn’t ride into Nikki’s life to save the day, he appears at the right time to make a difference in her life. To confirm her love so she could move forward.

See, Nikki is having a very bad day. Actually, she’s had a bad week. She’s getting married to Stephen in her hometown of Lonewood, IL. She left him and his family in Chicago to help her sisters prepare for the wedding. Anything that can go wrong to delay the big day does go wrong. Her dress rips. The party rental store made a mistake and Nikki had to look elsewhere to find tables and chairs. A spider bit her hand, causing it to swell. And she hit a pothole, which damaged her car. Then, the Catholic priest suddenly becomes ill with food poisoning two days before the wedding. It seemed as if fate was telling her not to wed Stephen. Nikki seriously considers what seems to be signs, but her heart yearns for Stephen. She’s in love with him, and love is very powerful.

Stephen’s parents arrive before Stephen and a nasty storm is passing through town. Nikki starts to fear for Stephen’s life after a tornado is spotted outside of Lonewood. What if she wasn’t meant to marry him? No, she doesn’t want to believe such a thing. She leaves to search for Stephen in the storm. She finds a car pulled off on the side of the road, and guess who it is?

Here’s an excerpt:

The rain rolled down their faces.

“I had to get away. This week has been hell. My dress tore. The party store wrote the wrong date for the wedding, so I had to go somewhere else to rent furniture, which cost twice as much. A spider bit my hand, and my ring finger is still swollen. My car has a leak, and the priest who I scheduled to preside at the wedding has food poisoning. This week’s been horrible. Absolutely horrible. And I started to fear something had happened to you after I heard about the tornado. I’ve missed you so much.” She rambled every word so fast she stunned herself.

“Hey, calm down.” He took her face into his hands. “I’m here now. We can work through this.”

She stared deep into his loving eyes. “You have no idea how much I’ve missed you.”

He kissed her lips and then pressed his forehead to hers. “I think I do.”

Before she could respond, their lips joined, and a kiss full of need and passion locked them together. He thrust his tongue into her mouth and explored it as if they were kissing for the first time. Her heart raced while her body heated, excited and full of longing. The week had been beyond difficult to deal with, but all the stress suddenly vanished. She had him now, his love, his warmth, and knew everything would be all right.

—————

I chose Stephen because he was there for Nikki at the moment when she needed him the most. He gave her love and comfort. Moreover, he reminded her what the future would hold if she married him–a very happy one.

If you put yourself in Nikki’s shoes and had to deal with all the challenges she had to deal with before her big day, would you have went through with the wedding? Or would you have listened to the signs and canceled it?

Also, what religion is the priest for the wedding? (hint: the answer is somewhere in this post)

The person with the correct answer and who answers the above question will be entered to win two ebooks from the Sisters of Lonewood series. And I will mail swag to the winner via snail mail.

In addition, those who enter my contest will also be entered in the Grand Prize drawing to win a Kindle from Evernight Publishing. Woo hoo!

I will select a winner using random.org on April 22rd. Winner will be notified no later than April 23th. Winner will have to respond by April 27th before a new one will be chosen.

Good luck, and I look forward to reading your answers.

Product Description

Alison longs for a chance to have a threesome with two sexy and courageous men. Tony and Ben suit her fantasy, but they will soon be cops. They’re not the typical kind of men she dates, but even good guys can play naughty.

After her dream comes true, she finds herself needing more of her two lovers. And they desire more of her. Happiness lasts until one of her admirers shows up and causes trouble. Alison will have to act fast if she wants to save her relationship with Tony and Ben, and their careers.

Be Warned: menage sex (MFM), anal sex, bondage, spanking

Excerpt:

“I think this would work better without clothes,” Tony said.

“I agree. Set her down.”

Slowly, Tony bent and lowered her until her feet touched the carpeted floor. She brushed her long hair away from her face and tucked it behind her ears as she regained her sense of balance.

“You work on the bottom. I’ll get the top,” Ben said as he reached from behind her and took hold of her leather jacket. He tugged it away from her shoulders, then down her arms. “Relax.”

Tony met her gaze and smiled. “I always enjoy working at the bottom.” He kneeled and curled his hand around her calf.

She wobbled slightly as Tony lifted her leg. Ben wrapped his arms around her ribs and nuzzled near her ear. “You smell so good, Ali.”

With his body pressing against her, she felt something hard touch her lower back. She swallowed hard, knowing what the stiff object was.

Ben held her while Tony removed one shoe and the other. After he finished and set her foot on the floor, Ben took hold of the bottom of her blouse. He pulled it over her head, then took a step back.

“You can tell us to slow down if we’re going too fast,” Tony said as he stood and removed his shirt.

She stared at his ripped torso and felt heat rising within her. “This is good.”

Standing with only her tights and bra left, she glanced over her shoulder. Ben dropped his shirt on the floor, next to hers, and moved his hands to his jeans. He, too, had six pack abs that made her mouth water and pussy wet.

“Just good?” Tony asked, reclaiming her attention. He took her face into his hands and stared deep into her eyes. “Are you absolutely sure?”

“One hundred and twenty percent. Now shut up and kiss me.” She hooked her fingers on the loops of his jeans and tugged his body toward her.
